Tricia received her Bachelor's of Science in Biology at Marquette University in Wisconsin. Part of her education was done over two summers in both Costa Rica and Ecuador studying the howler monkey and rainforest education.

For 5 years she taught 7th and 8th grade middle school science in Florida, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. She has spent the last 6 years homeschooling.

Tricia is married to Donn and they have 5 children. In her free time she likes to travel, hike, camp, and read. The Sayre family attends Westfield Evangelical Church
