I was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, and I moved to Massachusetts with my family as a young child. I grew up on the East Coast, moving to Western Massachusetts in my college years, where I met and married my husband, Ed, in 1985. We have five children and three grandchildren, and we have fostered many children over the past eleven years.

Educational Philosophy
My teaching philosophy encompasses the belief that each student is unique in background, personality, and learning style and will learn best in an environment that allows for that individuality. As a teacher, I strive to provide opportunities for my students to learn through the means that best helps them receive information, be it visual, oral or kinesthetic. It is my goal to inspire a love for learning, to motivate each student to achieve their personal best, and to enjoy the interactions they have in the classroom.
