Mrs. MaryRenee Lemberg
Secondary History, Literature, and Worldview
In 1998, I graduated magna cum laude with my bachelor’s degree from Westfield State College, and I immediately pursued my master’s degree at The Hartt School. While there, I worked in both the private and public school sectors in the Greater Hartford Area. I received my master’s degree in 2000 and was then hired to teach in an elementary school in Framingham, Massachusetts. I spent two years in Framingham before accepting a teaching position in East Granby, Connecticut, where I taught fourth through sixth grade. I was called to leave the classroom in 2008, after the birth of our first daughter. In 2013, God brought our family to CCS, when we enrolled our oldest daughter in kindergarten. I was offered the opportunity to direct their choir that year, and I have loved being a part of the CCS family ever since.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for thirteen years. We have two daughters, and we live in Westfield. We enjoy spending time with family in the Berkshires, having cookouts in the summer, and making our own pizza in the cooler months.
I believe every child is "beautifully and wonderfully made." I love watching my own children observe, investigate, and explore new places or concepts. It amazes me how I can see parts of their brains waking up and making connections. As I work with older students, I love seeing their knowledge deepen and grow as they become independent learners.
Romans 5:3-5: “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
