Professional Biography
Working since the age of thirteen, it only felt natural to continue working after graduating high school in 1998. A door in the banking industry was opened to me when I was 18 years old, and I walked right through it. After three years of hard work and completing college equivalency courses in banking principles, law and banking, economics, and accounting, I became one of the youngest management employees at Park West Bank & Trust. In my seventh year with the bank, I found out that I was pregnant. Determined to be a working-professional mother, I continued to work until the night before my son decided to join the outside world. It only took a few months to understand that the “job” that I was meant for at that time was to be a full-time wife and mother. Consequently, I left the banking industry in 2005. When I was asked to join the CCS staff in 2011, I jumped at the chance to join God’s work at my children’s wonderful school!
Personal Biography
Neither my husband nor I grew up in a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In fact, the Lord transformed our lives in 2007. It is a journey we started together and is one that, by the Grace of God, we continue to grow in on a daily basis. I feel so blessed to have an undeniable presence of God throughout our marriage. We share two amazing children, who both attend CCS. Our family enjoys many activities that allow us to connect with the gift of nature, such as camping, hiking, canoeing, and mountain biking. We have a third (furry) child, “Liberty”- a mini-Australian Shepherd that we love very much! I am truly humbled to be working in such an openly Christ-centered environment and to have the opportunity every day to help further God’s kingdom at His beloved school.
Educational Philosophy
I believe that providing a Christ-centered education, that equips our children to be able to confidently go out into a fallen world and not only defend their faith but also to be able to recognize non-truths, is one of the most important things we can do as Christian parents and educators.
