Professional Biography
After graduating high school, I joined the United States Air Force where I spent the next 21 years in a variety of assignments around the world, including two long tours on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.  After becoming an instructor in my career field, I found my passion for teaching and learning.  I retired from the Air Force in 2001, and I relocated back to Massachusetts where I began a second career as the Emergency Manager for Westover Air Force Reserve Base in Chicopee, Massachusetts.  I have served in church leadership for over 30 years in a variety of roles, such as youth ministry, men’s ministry, prison ministry, and team leader on numerous missionary trips including Haiti, Nicaragua, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, Hungry, and Israel.  For the past 11 years, I have had the opportunity to serve as an Associate Pastor for Between Bridges Ministry, a Christian ministry outreach to the homeless in Springfield, Massachusetts.  I earned a DMin in Chaplaincy, MDiv in Chaplaincy, and MA in Christian Ministry from Liberty University.  As part of my doctorate program, I became a certified hospital chaplain at Baystate Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Personal Biography
I have been married for 35 years to my wife, Elaine, and we are blessed with two adult sons, a lovely daughter-in-law, and three wonderful grandchildren.  After my relationship with God, family is my highest priority, and our most cherished moments are spending time with family and friends, enjoying family vacations, developing relationships with the less fortunate homeless community, and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Educational Philosophy
Simply stated, this comes from Jesus’ command to “Go and make disciples…and teach them to obey everything that He has commanded.” (Matthew 28:19) As educators, mentors, and instructors, we have a profound purpose to aid learners in acquiring understanding as it positively affects their behaviors, skills, values, attitudes, and preferences. “Teaching is more than imparting knowledge; it is inspiring change. Learning is more than absorbing facts; it is acquiring understanding.” – W.A. Ward

Favorite Verse
Romans 10:14-15: How then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News.
