I received a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and shortly after began teaching art to children, families and educators at The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. For a time I also ran a textile design business. Currently, I am working on my craft as an author/illustrator of books for children.
Personal
I am married to a wonderful husband who is a designer and business owner. We have two kids and there are always projects supplies all over our house. Besides making art, I love reading and going to the beach.
Educational Philosophy
As a child I grew up with parents who supported my love of art, creativity, and making. I want to do the same for my own children and our extended CCS family. I aim to use art study and art making to foster habits of mind valuable to all areas of life. I seek to push my students out of their comfort zones through playful experimentation with materials and techniques.
