Professional Biography
My passion for ministry began when I was a teenager in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. I began by assisting in the music and education ministries at Calvary Baptist Church. I graduated from Baptist Bible College East in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1987, with a music ministry degree. While there, I had the opportunity to serve as a youth and music pastor at Heritage Baptist Church in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

After marrying my wife, Nicole, in 1989, we moved back to Uniontown, where I served as the area director for Youth for Christ International and taught music at the Chestnut Ridge Christian Academy. In May of 1992, I became an associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, where I remained until receiving the call to minister at First Baptist in East Longmeadow in December of 1996, as the pastor over the church’s worship and missions’ ministries.

Over the years at First Baptist Church, my role expanded to assistant pastor and administrator of Baptist Village Christian Academy until the school closed in 2008. In September 2012, I was ordained at First Baptist Church and I also became an adjunct professor at Boston Baptist College. I completed my master’s degree from Liberty University in the fall of 2014.  In the spring of 2015, I became the Administrator at CCS.

Personal Biography
My desire to serve others has led to my involvement in many areas of our church and the community. I currently serve as the chairman of the Council of the Aging Board and as the chaplain for the East Longmeadow Fire Department. Nicole and I have two daughters, Michaela and Madelyn, as well as two dogs, Bentley and Charlie.

Educational Philosophy
Deuteronomy 6:4-9 is known as the Shema (Hebrew for “hear”), which is the Jewish confession of faith.  This passages details for us what a wholehearted commitment to Christ should look like.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit down in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” (ESV)

This command is not to be taken lightly. In Mark 12, Jesus reiterates this command when one of the scribes asks which commandment is the most important of all.

Loving God wholeheartedly must not only be taught from an academic/educational viewpoint, but our passion for God must also be modeled and lived out in our daily lives. As Administrator of Community Christian School, I am committed to this task. CCS seeks not only to impart educational knowledge, but also to intentionally encourage and challenge the heart of each student in the areas of character and spiritual development.
